Growing up German

Excerpt of a book draft I wrote...I've been editing it for 5 years. I may be the only one who ever reads it, but I hope not. My goal is to have it published.  

In about a half hour of looking at wallpaper books, I decidedly picked out the most awesome black and white, mind-bending print with huge lime green and orange flowers scattered on it. It was like a continuous stretching waffle cone of black and white with huge multi-colored flowers tossed on it, some wallpaper designer’s mental breakdown.
